Peppermint is a hybrid variety of water mint and spearmint. Peppermint was first cultivated in Britain and spread to Europe and America. Blank mint and white mints are two types of peppermint varieties. Black mints have violet colored leaves and the stems possess rich oil content. The white mints have green leaves with a milder taste.
